Dear Friends of our YMCA,
I am delighted to connect with you and share some exciting updates regarding our YMCA and its future trajectory. But before I delve into the details, allow me to provide a brief overview.
For more than five decades, our YMCA has remained steadfast in its commitment to addressing the fundamental needs of our community. These include providing safe and inclusive spaces, promoting physical and mental well-being, and nurturing the growth and development of every child.
However, the recent shifts in our community's landscape have been both profound and unprecedented. In times as extraordinary as these, it's imperative for us to respond with equal measure. Fortunately, our YMCA stands poised and ready to meet this challenge head-on.
Thus, we are embarking on a bold and transformative 3-year journey, aptly named "Building Possibilities,” aimed at introducing innovative facilities, programs, practices, and partnerships. This initiative will prioritize several key areas, including:
-Enriched Childcare and inspiring Youth Development
-Promoting Lifelong Wellness and mobility
-Expanding and re-energizing our Group Exercise and Sports
-Customized programs tailored to our community's unique needs
Our YMCA is a vital community anchor, with close to 4,000 individuals visiting our YMCA branches daily. Annually, we proudly serve almost 40,000 individuals, including more than 5,000 families. It's worth noting that nearly two-thirds of our participants either receive financial assistance or benefit from our community outreach programs. We are strong.
Through an intensified focus on Reach, Relevance, and Mission Impact, our long-term initiative will enable us to significantly increase the number of people we serve and reinforce our commitment to core community values such as Healthy Living, Youth Development, and Social Responsibility.
As our plans take shape, we are committed to keeping you informed through various channels, ensuring transparency regarding our actions, motivations, and the potential benefits to you, our cherished supporters.
We deeply appreciate your unwavering support for our YMCA, and there's much more to come. So please stay tuned for further updates.
With Respect & Gratitude,
Jason Hagensick
